We were out showing property in the Ava area Sunday morning. We were starving as usual so happened onto this gem! You need to try this little cafe just off the square in Ava! It was delicious and every plate I looked at looked just as delicious as mine. We didn't try any desserts because we were stuffed. I had the western omelette with hash browns and biscuit/gravy. Hubby got biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes and bacon. I tried his fried potatoes. It's a toss up on which is better. Biscuits were big and flaky and gravy was very tasty! The omelette was very good! After tip it was $30. We got a lot of food. Service was great. Clean restrooms. It was packed but still found parking and didn't have to wait. We'll be back when we go ride at Gladetop Trail this fall.

The service here is amazing! My father comes in every day and they know exactly what he wants and brings it to him. This restaurant does fun community things like giving cookies to moms on Mother's Day. But, it is about the food! The Belgium waffle always comes out golden brown. Fried eggs are always just cooked enough to keep the yolks runny. The bacon is typically crisp. It's the best breakfast in Ava. Daily specials keep things lively. The entire restaurant feels welcoming. (One hint: if you order a Belgium waffle with fruit, request the fruit heated and on the side--you'll thank me.)

Super busy! But the food was really good! Service was actually speedy! Id compare it to a semi busy chili's wait time for your dish. That being said the staff was awesome, the restaurant was clean and smelled delightful. I give food 4 stars simply because there is always room for improvement! But will definitely be back!

Stopped in after working in the courthouse. We had a wonderful homemade, stick to your ribs lunch. The Cajun catfish could have been a little more flavorful, the mashed potatoes and gravy and veggies were delicious! But quite frankly the best part was watching all of the locals greet "Ms Mona" (I believe was her name). She was dining with a deputy. Someone picked up her (their?) bill before I could get to it. Two little girls - I think our servers daughters- ran into the restaurant and greeted Ms. Mona before they even greeted their momma. It was so precious. We will be back- definitely for the atmosphere.

Great and filling breakfast before hitting SMORR for the day! I had the Haro breakfast burrito with chorizo! Highly recommend. Bring cash to avoid the credit card surcharge.
